Harold Ramis: 1944-2014
The Ghostbusters were my Fab-4. The original film was my first fanboy obsession. Since its release, I really believe that no film has successfully straddled so many genres.
Today, Harold Ramis passed away. Ramis was a large force behind that film as well as many other classics from an era gone. His skill at crafting the most loveable of losers is one of the reasons my friends have a hard time discussing entertainment with me. After all, how can Hollywood skate by with such dreck when one man alone managed to give us Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes and Ghostbusters? How can so many directors allow so few on screen dimensions when Ramis coaxed the best out of the notorious Chevy Chase for the manic Clark Griswold? Or saw fit to give Bill Murray room to breath excellence in Groundhog Day?
Ramis was a shining example of a great creator of character. Whether it be as writer, director or begrudging actor; he was inspiring, consistent and true. The world is a poorer place without him.
Inanimate Objects [2-22-2014]
Sometimes when you're bored and things are slow, you've got to make a little project for yourself. So I did.
Thanks to my wife for marrying a guy weird enough to say "What are some of your favorite things in the house? Ok. I'm going to take pictures of them. Bye!"
PS - On an unrelated note, The LEGO Movie was great.

Dinner Party, Murder Party - Movie Poster [1-28-14]
Dang it's been a long time! These droughts really help you to appreciate when you're busy.
So a few weeks ago I had the supreme pleasure of being invited on set to help out in the making of a short film. Do I even need to tell you how excited I was? It had been a VERY long time since I was around a production like that.
More recently that film, entitled Dinner Party, Murder Party, spawned its very own IMDB page. To celebrate the coming together of another work of art, I voluntarily decided to create a nice little teaser poster.
Pleased with the result, here it is for everyone to enjoy!
Also, please be sure to check out the IMDB page for Dinner Party, Murder Party here and like the Facebook page here.

Megan's Feet [2013-8-6]
So when your future wife asks you if you can take a picture, you better do it right. She's seen you at your best and will definitely call you out if you aren't giving her 110%.
I asked her to give me some time to come up with where and how I wanted to tackle the concept of photographing her in her different shoes that she uses for dance and in the end, there were too many photo's that I was happy with to post them all.
Firstly, let me share the "winners." These three are going up in our living room...
I knew I wanted to go black and white. It was tough because it was never something I'd done before. Looking back, this was probably a long-overdue experiment in contrast. It was tough to take out some of the excellent colors I had gotten from our location. But it only took a glance for me to fall in love with the end result.
Now just for giggles, here's a few outtakes. I hope you like them!

Charlie & Jack - Family Photo's [2013-4-28]
I was kind of excited to get a family photo session.
Some people would roll their eyes at this but I love getting candids. Like one of my favorite characters in Scrubs, I just think there's something extra real about them. And there's nothing more candid than a child.
Sure, there's some posed stuff in here when it comes to the whole family. But it definitely felt good to just get out there and let the children do what they do best: Be themselves.
