Megan's Feet [2013-8-6]

So when your future wife asks you if you can take a picture, you better do it right. She's seen you at your best and will definitely call you out if you aren't giving her 110%.

I asked her to give me some time to come up with where and how I wanted to tackle the concept of photographing her in her different shoes that she uses for dance and in the end, there were too many photo's that I was happy with to post them all.

Firstly, let me share the "winners." These three are going up in our living room...

I knew I wanted to go black and white. It was tough because it was never something I'd done before. Looking back, this was probably a long-overdue experiment in contrast. It was tough to take out some of the excellent colors I had gotten from our location. But it only took a glance for me to fall in love with the end result.

Charlie & Jack - Family Photo's [2013-4-28]

I was kind of excited to get a family photo session.

Some people would roll their eyes at this but I love getting candids. Like one of my favorite characters in Scrubs, I just think there's something extra real about them. And there's nothing more candid than a child.

Sure, there's some posed stuff in here when it comes to the whole family. But it definitely felt good to just get out there and let the children do what they do best: Be themselves.

 

Amanda and Angelo - Engagement Party [4-5-2013]

What's a guy to do when he gets booked for an engagement party and is asked to take some fun pictures beforehand? The correct answer is: Have fun with it!

Amanda and Angelo are a fun couple who have gone the distance since high school. It's clear that they're willing to weather it all together no matter what and it was a blast to shoot their engagement party.

Though I was both excited and nervous to be using my new external flash at a job for the first time, I knew it would give me the type of skies in the background that I haven't really captured before. I have to say, I'm happy with the results.

 

Lindsay - Bridal Shower [3-9-2013]

Many thanks to the Hachey family for asking me to photograph their daughter Lindsay's bridal shower. It was a wonderful event that went off without a hitch and, after meeting both the bride and groom to be, made clear that they will live happily together surrounded by much love and support from family and friends.

 

 

 

Spooky TV - Wallpapers

I'm sorry for all the wallpaper posts of late. I've been on a bit of a kick. I'm gonna try and make sure the next post is something different, but for now...

I was just going to do one more wallpaper based on a show I enjoy, but then my brother made a request for a second show I watch, so this ended up as a double-whammy. First and foremost, I present to you a wallpaper based on my favorite television monster hunters:

Secondly, here's my brothers favorite character from the best (only?) zombie show ever. In case you can't read it, the text says "the right choice is the one that keeps us alive."
